Partnership
Gimmel, the third letter in the Hebrew alphabet, has the numerical value of three. The number three represents balance and equal partnership. The three Patriarchs of the Jewish People include Avraham (Abraham), Yitzchak (Yitzchak), and Yaakov (Jacob). There are three parts of the Torah: The Five Books of Moses, the Prophets, and the Writings.
In the Pirkei Avot, Ethics of our Fathers, the sages state that the world balances on three things: Torah, Divine Service (Prayer), and acts of goodness and kindness. Only when these three are present, can the world peacefully exist.
The original root of the word Gimmel is from the word Gammal: camel.
Gimmel is formed by a vav and a yud, creating the image of a running person. Gimmel represents full running to fill the empty, as expressed in charity, human interaction, the journey of the soul.
