Conception

Hey, the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, has the numeric value of five. There are five book of Moses: Beraishit (Genesis), Shemot (Exodus), Vayikra (Leviticus), Bamidbar (Numbers), and Devarim (Deuteronomy). There are five parts of the mouth that give one the ability to speak:

Hey represents conception and expression. The letter is formed by three lines corresponding to the three garments/ expressions of the soul and self: the upper horizontal line to thought; the right vertical line to speech; the unattached foot to action. Through giving (Gimmel) of oneself to another (Dalet), one fully expresses themselves, creating Hey.

This letter symbolizesthe intellectual relationship of a teacher and students, the teacher draws down a lofty intellectual concept and transfers it to the student in a way that the students can understand and internalize the concept.
