Pey (Framed 12×16)

The mouth, the letter pei, follows the eye, the letter ayin. Pey represents the power of speech, gifted to the snake in the Garden of Eden and Balaam’s donkey. Pey also represents the Oral Torah and the power to curse and bless.

The form of the Pey is a mouth containing a tooth. The white space within the pei forms a hidden beit.
