Concealment
Tet, the ninth letter in the Hebrew alphabet, has the numeric value of nine. There are nine physical materials that form vessels which contract impurity, nine sefirot pouring blessing into malchut, nine blasts of the shofar, and nine months of pregnancy. The union of the masculine (Vav) and feminine (Zayin) energies, forms Chet, the marital union. This consummated union then produces Tet, pregnancy.
Tet represents introversion and the concealment of good (Tov), as symbolized of its form, bent inwards and inverted.
Tet literally means staff: often used as a term for the Shvatim, the twelve tribes. During the story of Passover, Moshe’s staff transforms into a snake. Tet symbolizes truth and falsehood, as represented by the snake.
